Kate Eminger directs plays and films with unusual landscapes, unfamiliar worlds, and surprising performance structures. Recent directing projects include: reluctant to Burn and no seconds by Korde Arrington Tuttle, Cape Disappointment by The Debate Society, nightnight by Lucas Hnath, As You Like It by William Shakespeare, Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, Endgame by Samuel Beckett, Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, and Melancholy Play by Sarah Ruhl. She has developed work with Ars Nova, Dixon Place, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, NYC Fridge Festival, among others.

Kate was a Directing Intern at Actors Theatre of Louisville 2012 and a Lincoln Center Directors Lab 2014 member. She is a resident chef at SPACE on Ryder Farm and a native Texan. MFA directing: The New School
